P.S. A few tips on how and with what setup I’ve had the most success using WFL lures:
First of all, small “nuisance” fish thankfully don’t get hooked—I’ve caught fish starting from 40 cm and up.
I use a 2.40 m rod with a casting weight of 15–40 g. A softer rod with a longer, parabolic bend gives weedless lures more time to settle properly in the fish’s jaws. Fast-action rods tend to pull weedless lures out of a pike’s mouth too quickly.
When retrieving, I make pauses and add small rod-tip jerks—quick ones, several in a row—then continue reeling and pause again.
